Earth Day 2010 Launches Scholarship Fund - Be the Change for a Sustainable Society

Online, April 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Tappan, NY, April 21, 2010--Arlon Bennett, performing songwriter, and Ann Jakits, principal of Millennial Group, together announced development of a scholarship fund to support the advancement of music and science education based on the theme Be the Change for a Sustainable Society.
The song released by Arlon Bennett in 2007, entitled Be the Change, symbolizes important social movements, including civil rights, war and peace, equal rights, and now will incorporate sustainability in connection with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
The single release of Be the Change is available for purchase at http://bethechange.bandcamp.com that allows individuals to directly contribute to the scholarship fund. Proceeds as much as 70% of the $1.00 music track of Be the Change, per download, will go into the scholarship fund. Be the Change lyrics combining the overarching theme for a Sustainable Society, will be a perpetual offering. The scholarship fund will be distributed on an annual basis to college-bound students who best exemplifies a unique idea to benefit a sustainable society.
