Earth Week on Kuramathi Maldives

Kuramathi Island Resort is one of the first resorts to open in the Maldives and is part of Universal Resorts of Universal Enterprises Private Ltd, a 100% Maldivian owned company, and the pioneers of tourism in the Maldives.

Experience back-to-back nature as Kuramathi Maldives (http://www.kuramathi.com/) marks Earth Day this month with a weeklong schedule of fun activities. The program begins on 22nd April 2012, with a nature tour of Kuramathi, exploring the dense foliage of the island, guided by our Resident Horticulturist.

A series of eco events follows this exciting start and includes a terrestrial cleanup of Kuramathi, Madivaru, and Madivaru Finolhu: - the two tiny islands located in the small archipelago of Rasdhoo Atoll. A very special event - an Agricultural Tour to Thoddoo, lets you take a look into the history and culture of a typical Maldivian island, famed for its rich agriculture. While the Tree Planting on Rasdhoo gets your green thumb in action as you contribute your first plant to this local island. You can reward yourself afterwards by going on a shopping spree at the island's souvenir shops.

Guests can sign up for the events at the main reception or the guest lounges. No participation fee is required for any of the events. We hope to see as many guests as possible to mark the occasion colourfully!
