Earthbound Media Group Announces New Headquarters at the Former Home of Hughes Aircraft Company

Adaptive marketing agency Earthbound Media Group announces that they will be moving their headquarters and consolidating their Culver City satellite office into West Los Angeles' innovative new development, The Hercules Campus at Playa Vista

LOS ANGELES- After ten years of calling Orange County, CA home Earthbound Media Group (EMG) announced today that they will be moving their headquarters and consolidating their Culver City satellite office into one of West Los Angeles' burgeoning and innovative new developments, The Hercules Campus at Playa Vista. Move- in is expected for the summer of 2012. The Hercules Campus is the vision of renowned developer Wayne Ratkovich of The Ratkovich Company, a company that specializes in transforming historical sites into revolutionary and inspiring creative spaces. Earthbound Media Group is the first official tenant at the property with a 10-year lease deal and has since been followed by Google-owned technology giant YouTube who will be opening a Los Angeles extension of their YouTube Next Lab facility in New York.

Following another record year of growth in 2011, EMG will now take advantage of the unique culture, dynamic talent pool and prospective business market that Los Angeles has to offer. "We believe The Hercules Campus at Playa Vista will be a hotbed for emerging media, entertainment and technology," explained EMG Managing Partner Damien S. Navarro, who began working on the transaction with The Ratkovich Company in the fall of 2011. "When we came across the Hercules Campus in our search, we realized quickly that there was no place like it Southern California, and possibly the U.S. This made us rethink our Orange County and Los Angeles satellite strategy and we immediately initiated plans to relocate both offices into one permanent home."

In homage to the former headquarters of the historic Hughes Aircraft Company, the innovative heartbeat of engineering and operations for Howard Hughes' aerospace empire, The Ratkovich Company is transforming the campus into one of the most innovativecreative spaces in the country. "We are thrilled to welcome Earthbound Media Group and YouTube to The Hercules Campus during this exciting time for the property," said Wayne Ratkovich, founder and president of The Ratkovich Company. "Since purchasing The Hercules Campus, we have been committed to revitalizing the property to cater to non-traditional companies known for their leadership in their industries."

EMG Managing Partner Dr. Blaine Behringer explains, "I don't know if it's the presence of innovation that happened there in the past or if it's the premonition of what's to come, but when you step on the gorgeous campus you can feel an energy and excitement that is invigorating and unparalleled. Just being here is incredibly inspiring and it is why we dubbed our new home 'The Innovative Headquarters for Earthbound Media Group'."

To really maximize The Hercules Campus' legacy, surrounding environment and existing architecture, interior design firm HLW has been hired to create a space tailored to EMG's specific working and cultural needs. Known for its work with leading companies in the media, technology and entertainment industries, HLW is designing an open floor plan intended to provoke and accommodate collaboration and sharing of ideas among EMG team members. The space will feature ample "flex space" for wellness, learning and large function activities, decentralized seating and collaborative community lounges that together provide the energy of an incubator with the dynamic of a university campus.
