Eastminster School Announces New Headmaster

Online, August 12, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Eastminster School, a liberal arts college preparatory school, has announced Roy Alexander as Headmaster. Mr. Alexander has been serving as Eastminster School's Interim Headmaster since July 1, 2011.

Eastminster School has experienced enrollment growth from 9 students in 2004, to 168 students projected for the 2011-2012 school year. Moreover, the school has achieved dual accreditation by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), program expansion through grade 10 and achieved a balanced operating budget.

Mr. Alexander recently served as Headmaster at Bulloch Academy in Statesboro, GA, and prior to that position, served as assistant Head of School at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Atlanta where he successfully directed the launch of their new high school. "Roy Alexander has an excellent rapport with his colleagues, students, teachers, and parents. He shows a sincere interest in them as individuals and is consistently fair in dealing with all aspects of his school community," says Leonard. In addition to his work as an administrator and teacher, Roy was also instrumental in helping the Mount Vernon Presbyterian School construct a $40 million high school campus from scratch.
