EBS DWARKA Dedicates A Whopping 2.1 Crores As A Corpus For Scholarships

Online, June 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - With the announcement of a dedicated corpus of Rs 2.1 crores, EBS Dwarka has sent out a message to those aspirants of management education who thrive on novel ideas, fast-paced learning and community commitments, that meritocracy will always be rewarded at EBS Dwarka. Taking forward the ERA Group's legacy of unflinching support for the deserving, EBS Dwarka rewards the hardwork of its meritorious students by awarding scholarships of Rs 50,000 each to the top 5% of the students in a trimester - except for the final trimester, which involves a research project - for every course. These rolling scholarships are awarded on the basis of the Trimester GPA. Not only does this nurture competitiveness among the students but also builds a sense of achievement within them.

Scholarships for the meritorious start right from the admission stage itself, with students scoring more than 85 percentile in CAT/ XAT extended a scholarship of Rs 75,000. Those who score above the 80 percentile get a scholarship of Rs 50,000, while those scoring above the 70 percentile in CAT/ XAT get a one-time waiver of Rs.30000 on their admission fees.

The scholarship is also extended by EBS Dwarka to students who have done well in MAT/ CMAT with those scoring above the 95 percentile receiving a scholarship of Rs 75,000. Those who score above the 90 percentile are given Rs 50,000 while those who score above the 80 percentile are given a one-time waiver of Rs 30,000.

Himanshu Bassi, one of the beneficiaries of the 2011-13 Batch, and with summer internship placements from three huge corporate houses - HDFC Bank, Power Grid Corporation and Frill Media - recollects how he zeroed in on EBS Dwarka.
