EclipseSpa Supports Tribal Women

Danville Based Company, EclipseSpa, Helps Support Tribal Women in Ghana

The same ingredient in EclipseSpa's Sugar Scrubs that makes skin softer, giving it a sexy glow also helps support women in Africa.

EclipseSpa purchases one of the key ingredients in their sugar scrubs, African Shea Butter, from a group of tribal women who have formed a cooperative in their village in Ghana. The hand-harvested Shea Butter is purchased under a Fair Trade pricing agreement that helps create abundance throughout the village.

Fair Trade pricing is a market-based model of international trade that ensures that the cooperative receives a fair price for their harvest, creates direct trade links between cooperatives and buyers and provides access to affordable credit. In Fair Trade cooperatives, slave labor is prohibited and farms are inspected to ensure that Fair Trade standards are being met.

EclipseSpa is honored to assist the cooperative in creating a better life for themselves and future generations.

African Shea Butter is an extremely therapeutic emollient with chemical constituents that help to heal bruising and soreness. With high levels of vitamin A, E, unsaponifiables and cinnamic esters, these high antimicrobial and moisturizing properties heal, renew and protect the skin from UV rays of the sun.

EclipseSpa mixes the Shea Butter with Pumpkin Seed Oil, Noni, Safflower Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and sugar granules providing gentle scrubbing while hydrating the skin.

Every woman deserves to celebrate her life with softer, smoother, sexier skin that glows, and that's why we created sugars scrubs that are unparalleled in quality.
