- Year-on-year improvements in all categories
- The EcoVadis award underscores INNIO Group’s commitment to putting sustainability into practice and to transparent ESG reporting
JENBACH, Austria, October 24, 2023 (Newswire.com) - EcoVadis once again has acknowledged INNIO Group (INNIO) for its dedication to sustainability, awarding the company another Platinum medal. This means that INNIO and its Jenbacher, Waukesha, and myPlant product lines rank among the top 1% of around 100,000 businesses assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.
The Platinum award from the prestigious sustainability ratings agency recognizes continuous improvements along with contributions to sustainable growth. INNIO excelled by improving its score in every area (environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement) compared with last year. The recipient of Silver and Gold ratings in previous years, INNIO first was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal in 2022.
“INNIO Group has not only maintained its premium rating, but it also surpassed its scores from last year,” says Dr. Olaf Berlien, INNIO Group president and CEO. “The EcoVadis Platinum medal shows that we are setting the right priorities in all areas of our joint sustainability commitment and playing our part in achieving climate neutrality by providing innovative energy solutions.”
The annual EcoVadis assessment focuses on 21 criteria that are grouped into four themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The criteria are based on international sustainability standards, including the principles of the UN Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labor Organization, and the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative. The Platinum rating recognizes INNIO Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainable solutions in 2023.
