Edmonton Man Top Contender for World Title

Online, October 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Pierre Lajoie from Edmonton is competing in the FAME World Championships Nov 13 in Las Vegas. Pierre quickly climbed up the ranks fast tracking up the amateur tier system after being spotted by President of the World Natural Sports Organization, Jeffrey Kippel. Kippel was very impressed by Lajoie's physique and pegged him to be amongst the top contenders for the Pro Ranks. "This is unprecedented. In my mind Pierre is already a legend". With all judges in agreement, Lajoie was the first natural bodybuilder ever to be given such an honor. In 2009 Lajoie won the grand prize European trip and went on to represent Canada's Pros at the FAME Czech Republic Championships.

Bally's Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is the final destination of the 2010 FAME World Tour featuring the 13th annual FAME World Championships. This international event attracts top level athletes from around the world who compete and represent their country. Participating countries include Canada, USA, Australia, Italy, Kenya, United Arab Emigrates, South Africa, United Kingdom, Colombia, Estonia, England, and Barbados.

Categories of competition include Natural Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure, Fit Duos, and Physique Modeling (Fitness Model Search, Muscle Model Search, Swimsuit Model Search). The FAME World Tour is the only physique competition series regulated by the World Natural Sports Organization (WNSO). All athletes are subject to the rules and regulations of this governing body which stipulate that everyone be drug tested. Drug testing consists of urinalysis and the Physique Screening Panel developed by the WNSO four years ago. These two methods have proven extremely valuable in helping to clean up the sport of professional bodybuilding.
