EDOBIO Answers the Call for Authentic All-Natural Skincare and Skin Repair Products Rooted in Japanese Traditions

Christmas Mystery Boxes Featured During Online Holiday Event

Holiday skin care and skin repair gifts from EDOBIO

Japan has long known what much of the rest of the world has been slower to realize: chemicals don’t belong in skincare products. In fact, while it has banned thousands of ingredients in beauty products, the U.S. has put limits on just 11 chemicals being used in those today. One new skincare brand called EDOBIO – born and based in Japan – is holding a major holiday event that runs from Dec. 14 through Dec. 25 to help ensure people in all geographies are aware of the availability of safe, effective soap products like theirs.

Launched in 2018, EDOBIO sells a variety of skin care and skin repair soaps, including those that treat acne, developed in laboratories in Japan and manufactured there as well. Its products all include a proprietary soil-based probiotic called BiProGE and are derived from plants of Japanese origin. They are available at its stores in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as well as its online marketplace. Its name combines the words “edo” and “bio” to reflect the brand’s incorporation of Japanese skincare trends that date back to the Edo Period (1603-1868) and modern-day trademark bio-tech processes.

“Most people are familiar with ukiyo-e paintings that date back to the Edo Period that often-depicted Japanese beauties with their flawless, translucent skin. Those women were the inspiration for our products,” explained Kenichi Arakawa, CEO. “Our soaps help remedy the various skin problems that have become all too standard in today’s world by bringing back the minimalistic, natural beauty methods of the past.”

EDOBIO product line includes a variety of beautifully packaged soaps, soap sets, beauty serums, gift sets, soap dishes and travel soaps. All of its skincare items can be used to moisturize, balance pH levels, accelerate cellular rejuvenation and revitalize skin. But Arakawa says the company’s biggest asset is authenticity.

“We are a true Japanese skincare brand. Many companies use Japanese imagery, but we are the real deal. EDOBIO is based here; researches, sources and develops its products here; and creates its exclusive ingredients here,” he added. “We want to share with the rest of the world the natural beauty regimens of our ancestors so they have safe and proven skin care solutions, free of any damaging chemicals.”

During its holiday sale, EDOBIO will feature a Christmas Mystery Box, filled with a variety of randomly selected EDOBIO bestsellers – with some containing gift cards. Other select items will be available for up to 55 percent off retail prices.
