Online, April 13, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Education Pioneer Dr. Fred DiUus was recently selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who publications for the 15th consecutive year.
Marquis Who's Who publications are the original and legendary biography books listing outstanding individuals whose lives are singularly notable. Marquis has been doing this for over 100 years. They have set the standard of excellence in recognizing outstanding Americans and world leaders. DiUlus is among 95,000 Americans to be chosen to be listed in the 2013 Edition of Who's Who in America. DiUlus is also listed the '2013 editions of Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Education and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.
As the man behind the creation of several "firsts" in higher education, DiUlus also comes from a storied past as one of the nation's top investment experts in the 60's, 70's and 80's before entering the field of higher education as a professor of Market Economics. He is the founder and volunteer leader of a non profit foundation, CEFE, which has spread its influence around the world through its for-profit and non-profit creations.
Historically, DiUlus has called economic turns with uncanny consistency over the past five decades. He is credited with inventing a bank and savings and loan ratings analysis, The Federal Financial Digest and Register, which identified and exposed ailing and insolvent savings and loans and banks. The books were a catalyst to the eventual downfall of four corrupt individual state guarantee bank insurance funds, closure of over 600 insolvent savings and loans and hundreds more commercial banks that were toxic to the public.
As a professor and Sam Walton Fellow in Free Enterprise he organized student entrepreneurial leadership programs at five universities and one that led to originating micro loans for business startups in West Africa in the late 90's. The micro loan programs helped hundreds of small entrepreneurs promote and develop new enterprises throughout the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), especially the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and Nigeria. In 2010/11, President Barack Obama awarded him the President's Gold Volunteer Service Award for his years of dedicated volunteerism.
The Marquis publications are updated annually and found digitally or in hard copy on most public library shelves around the world.
