Edwina Martin House Hosts Comedy Show to Support Woman in Recovery
Boston, MA , March 7, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Brockton resident Edwina L. Martin was a long-time volunteer and activist for local alcohol and drug programs. She ran an information and referral center and provided personal assistance and advocacy for the sick and suffering. Her years of effort culminated in the establishment in 1982 of the woman's recovery house which bears her name.
Today, Edwina Martin House is run by and equally loving and compassionate woman named Judy McDonough. Over the years she has built, provided and expanded treatment for women. It is through the support of everyone who believes there is hope and knows that treatment works, that she has been able to provide for the amazing women who go through The Edwina Martin House.
All are welcome to come support Edwina Martin House on April 1st. Performing at the event are comedians Michael Petit, Jessica Casciano, and Bill Farrel.
