A "Tail Waggin'" Grand Opening party is being held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Eisenhower Dog Park.
Saturday's events will begin at 11 am with a formal ribbon cutting followed immediately by the dedication. Following the formal events, LI-DOG will host "A Day at The Park" with vendors, rescue groups, prizes and giveaways.
Among the events of the day will be a Raffle from Pet Supplies Plus, $25 Gift Cards, Gift Baskets and a Grand Prize of a "Free Year Of Food". We've arranged a special outdoor performance by Rick Caran & Team Jilli-Dog, as seen on Animal Planet! Scooby will be there with doggie bags and gifts. The event will also feature wonderful dogs up for adoption from three local rescue groups including Bobby & The Strays, Yorkie911 Rescue and the North Shore Animal League. In addition, representatives from several dog food companies will be on hand providing free samples of their products.
The new dog park features an area for small dogs, an area for large dogs with separate entrances. The park also features a shade gazebo, benches, waste stations and water fountains all provided by the park's sponsor Pet Supplies Plus. Parking for the day will be very limited, find local street parking and be very careful.
All fun loving, well-behaved dogs are invited to bring their owners for a day of socializing, running and playing at the new Eisenhower Dog Park on Saturday, October 13, 2012!
**Dogs must be vaccinated, friendly and under control, and picked up after at ALL times**
