Elite Travel CEO Tammy Levent Wins The Glass Ceiling Award From The Florida Diversity Council

The Florida Diversity Council names Elite Travel CEO Tammy Levent one of its recipients of this year's "Glass Ceiling Award." The honor is given to women who have shattered the glass ceiling in professions generally dominated by men.

Elite Travel CEO Tammy Levent's winning combination of savvy business sense and superior customer service led The Florida Diversity Council to name her one of the winners of this year's "Glass Ceiling Award."

The "Glass Ceiling Award" is designed to honor women who have shattered the glass ceiling in professions generally dominated by men. The Florida Diversity Council recognizes women who demonstrate leadership excellence, maintain a consistent record of accomplishments, exhibit positive influence on those beneath their leadership, and display integrity and the highest ethical standard among colleagues and individuals.

"I am very excited to be among this year's distinguished recipients," Tammy Levent said. "I founded my company on the principals that steady profits result from excellent service, customer retention, customer loyalty and repurchases, and we train each and every staff member to ensure they are committed to these goals."

Levent established Elite Travel Management Group in 1995 and quickly became a renowned specialist in destination weddings, luxury trips and upscale corporate incentive travel. The agency has been named an American Express Vacations Global Best of the Best Travel Agency for 13 years in a row, a Platinum Preferred Agency of Couples Resorts for more than a decade, a Best of the Best Sandals Agency, and a Karisma Elite Award Winner as a "Top 10 Selling Agency for El Dorado Royal."

Levent is a gifted motivational speaker and most recently was a panelist at the South Florida Women's Conference held in North Miami on March 25. She was a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Business Woman of the Year award twice, and was a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Ultimate CEO of the Year award in 2008. She recently partnered with Ruth Eckerd Hall, the seventh-ranked performing venue in the world for venues with 5,000 seats or less. Plus, she is a member of the advisory board for the Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Innovation Alliance at the University of South Florida.

She has been featured on the television show "Extra," as well as several magazines including The Perfect Wedding guide, Bride's Magazine, Modern Bride, Florida Bride, and Conde Nast Traveler. She is also a celebrity writer for Weddzilla.com.
