“We are passionate about the city of New Haven, and of course we love food, so it made a lot of sense for us to partner with CitySeed.  They are already doing so much to make our community better and we want to be a part of that,” said John Brennen, Executive Chef and Co-owner at Elm City Social.  Health equity is a primary focus of CitySeed’s work.  They enhance access to healthy food through a network of Farmers’ Markets, Mobile Farmers’ Markets, SNAP Double Value Coupon Program, community-based cooking education programs, and other food-related programs.  “Our goal is to engage and connect our community through local food,” says Nicole Berube, Executive Director of CitySeed, “and we couldn’t do it without the help of local business partners like Elm City Social.”
