Eneref Institute Hosts LIGHTFAIR Discussion: Shielding LEDs With Reflectors

"Let's Bounce: LEDs + Reflectors" - Eneref Institute will sponsor an LED luminaire discussion during LIGHTFAIR 2011 examining the use of reflectors in luminaire design to shield the LED light source.

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Eneref Institute will sponsor an LED luminaire discussion during LIGHTFAIR 2011 examining the use of reflectors in luminaire design to shield the LED light source. The 45-minute discussion, entitled "Let's Bounce: LEDs + Reflectors", is a continuation of a report published in the January issue of LD+A magazine (Lighting Design and Application) by the Eneref Institute examining the use of reflectors in luminaires in commercial retrofit applications.

Optical surface manufacturer Alanod Aluminum will present when best practices calls for bouncing LED light off of the reflector, instead of sending the light through a lens or refractor.

The LIGHTFAIR discussion, hosted by Eneref Institute, is complementary to businesses involved in luminaire and lighting design, and is part of a continuation of the Eneref Institute report on the use reflectors for energy savings in luminaire design.

LIGHTFAIR 2011, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, Room 300.

Tuesday, May 17th at 10:30 AM or Wednesday, May 18th at 2:30 PM
