Energy Management Corporation Acquires Diamond Electric Motor
Organizations turn to EMC when they want a single point of responsibility to design, install, commission, and maintain electrical assets.
SALT LAKE CITY, September 23, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Energy Management Corporation, headquartered in Salt Lake City, announced the acquisition of Diamond Electric Motor, Salt Lake City, on September 1st, 2021. Diamond Electric Motor is a family-owned business serving Utah customers with a variety of electrical and motor repair services since 1944. With the loss of owner-operator Werner Larsen earlier this year at 94 years old from Covid-19, the family sought a company that could assure a home for its employees and customers to carry on the tradition of excellence set by Werner.
"Diamond Electric Motor is known for its unique ability to economically repair and rewind specialty motors under 200HP across a broad array of applications," stated Kelly Larsen, Diamond owner. "Joining EMC will allow these valuable services to continue for those that have been loyal customers for three generations."
EMC currently employs over 100 technical associates in locations including Boise ID, Burley ID, Salt Lake City UT, Tooele UT, Rock Springs WY, Casper WY, Denver CO, Las Vegas NV, and Los Angeles CA. Previous acquisitions include CW Silver Industrial Services, Bob Green Electrical, Missman Electric, Boulder Electric, Silver Tip Electric, and GP Electric Motor. EMC specializes in low and medium-voltage motor sales and service to 5000HP, low and medium-voltage VFD sales and service, and standby generator system sales and service meeting a broad range of industrial applications.
Together, EMC and Diamond Electric offer a broad range of cost-effective, electric motor repair and rewinding services from 1/4HP to 5000HP. In addition, field engineering, repair and retrofit projects and UL508A custom control panel manufacturing benefit customers by assuring electrical safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
"We are proud to welcome Diamond Electric Motor to our EMC family, expanding our electrical motor products and services as trusted solution providers relied on throughout the Western USA," announced EMC CEO, Steve Rossiter.
