Energy Schema today released a comprehensive collection of educational modules describing low-carbon emissions and renewable energy sources using on-line interactive, animated Flash content. Energy Schema is providing this content free to educators, government agencies and non-profit companies who wish to deploy this Web-based content to advance the fields of renewable energy and energy-efficient building performance.

Two main sections are presented: the first is an interactive model of a small house showcasing renewable energies, responsible building practices, and building retrofits for improved efficiency and energy conservation; the second is a collection of 28 Flash modules providing a more detailed overview of solar energy physics and technologies.

Since most people understand and are engaged by visual rather than textual information, the majority of the content is composed of images and animations. Within each section the energy source and the basic physics of that energy are presented. This is followed by a description of the associated technology and some current applications.
