EnerSys Appoints Todd M. Sechrist Senior Vice President - Americas

Reading, PA, USA, June 30, 2010 - EnerSys (NYSE: ENS) the world's largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of industrial batteries announced that effective today Todd M. Sechrist has been named Senior Vice President - Americas replacing John Shea, Executive Vice President - Americas, who recently retired from his position.
In his new position Sechrist has full responsibility for the Company's reserve power and motive power businesses in the Americas. He reports to John Craig, chairman, president & chief executive officer of EnerSys.
Sechrist joined EnerSys in 1993 serving most recently as Vice President - Reserve Power Sales & Service for the Americas. He has also served as Senior Director - Reserve Power Marketing & Operations and held positions of increasing responsibility within the Company's motive power sales organization. Prior to joining EnerSys Sechrist also held positions with Mobil Oil and Bayer Corporation.
