English Language School By Ex British Council Staffers To Come Up In Ludhiana, Punjab In July 2011
Online, May 5, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Realising the huge gap in English language training for preparation of assessment tests, three senior professionals from the British Council have decided to venture into the field of English language assessment.
The project is self funded and is expected to open 10 centres across north India in next two years. The first of the chain is to come up in Ludhiana, Punjab shortly. The capacity of the centre will be to train at least 180 students per month for IELTS on first come first serve basis. The smart classrooms in the institute will be equipped with all modern facilities to ease the learning process.
The study material is customised to suit the student's requirement and proficiency level. A focussed one to one interaction will ensure that the students' specific needs are taken care of. The promoters experience has assisted the organisation to develop the modules based on their close observation of students profile from North India.
The training medium is developed after a year of extensive research. The training will be strictly participative and will boost student's confidence and command over the language. Though the duration of training will depend on student's requirement but standard course offered will be for 200 hrs. The trainers will bring immense teaching experience on board. The 'do it yourself' training methodology will be first of its kind across North India. The aim of the institute is to improve students command over the language rather than making them 'assessment test trained' so that they are 'confident overall' even after reaching their study destination.
The registration for first nine batches is to start in June 2011. For enrolment at the institute students will have to go through a written and oral test. The seats will be limited and allotted to selected candidates on first come first serve basis. For outstation students the institute plans to provide accommodation nearby.
