Environmentally Conscientious Honda Vehicles Sold By SteveGermain.com

Japanese automaker Honda has sold more 800,000 hybrids worldwide and SteveGermain.com would like to thank and encourage Honda for doing their part to make the world a better place.

Earlier this week, Honda's media newsroom has announced that the cumulative worldwide hybrid vehicle sales have eclipsed 800,000 units as of December 2011. SteveGermain.com, which features Honda of Dublin and Honda of Naples, congratulates Honda for their dedication to their promise of "blue skies for our children" which has become a mantra in recent years. Honda hopes to leave the planet in better shape for future generations by creating more efficient cars that decrease our dependency on depleting natural resources.

It all started back in 1999 with the creation of the first Honda Insight hybrid in Japan. 12 years and two months later, 800,000 hybrid vehicles had been sold and countless gallons of fuel had been saved. Since the first Insight hybrid hit markets, Honda has added more hybrid models like the Civic and Accord Hybrids which were equipped with the ultra light Integrated Motor Assist system. Following the 2009 model year, the lineup of hybrids world-wide has grown by six in the last three years to allow for more customer's needs to be met.

The hybrid has been huge in developed markets like the US and in parts of Europe but other parts of the world are just now finding out about fuel saving hybrids. In Japan, an impressive number of hybrids are sold and over 45% of new Hondas sold in December were hybrids. The United States of America boasted 338,872 hybrids sold as of December 2011.

Today there are 7 Honda hybrid models sold in nearly 50 countries around the globe. The CR-Z, Civic hybrid, and the original Insight models can be found at SteveGermain.com family Honda dealerships. For those looking to find a fun, sporty ride that also sips on fuel, the CR-Z has been created to deliver thrills and is the only hybrid to also offer a manual transmission. The versatile Civic hybrid is essentially unchanged from the popular sedan other than the fact that it has an electric gasoline hybrid power plant. In October, Honda introduced their prototype Fit Electric Vehicle which will hit dealerships in the spring/summer of 2012.

SteveGermain.com dealerships are proud to stock and sell Honda products due to their inherent quality, environmental stance, and value. Stop by any one of our numerous dealerships and experience how fun, simple, and easy buying a vehicle from Steve Germain can be.
