EnviroXtract (Pink Sheets: EVXA) is pleased to announce that the Company has recently generated renewed Canadian interest in its 'green' environmental oil sands extraction and upgrading technology applications. The EnviroXtract plasma enhanced extraction process excites raw oil sands at the molecular level and has proven capable of removing greater than 99% of available bitumen from oil sands feedstock without the use of water or natural gas. As bitumen is exposed to the plasma field, free hydrogen atoms in the reactor vessel significantly upgrade the bitumen to a lighter petroleum product. Typically, raw bitumen samples measured at 8 API gravity were upgraded to a range of 16-22 API gravity. No additional time or power consumption is necessary during the extraction phase to accomplish the bitumen upgrade. The electrically generated plasma process is environmentally safe, emitting no greenhouse gases, nor any other pollutants into the environment or atmosphere. The low-density plasma process operates in a closed vacuum system capable of capturing carbon greenhouse gases. Tailings from the oil sands are clean and dry after processing, ready for immediate reintroduction into the environment.

The proprietary plasma enhanced process is very economical in its electrical energy consumption and is anticipated to operate at near zero-cost when configured for co-generation of electrical power. Gasification of bitumen during processing may provide on-site generators the necessary fuel to produce the electrical energy necessary for processing oil sands. Armed with the ability to generate its own power, EnviroXtract envisions the technology to be capable of tractor/trailer mobilization directly onto the mining sites for extraction and upgrading of bitumen at any location. Trucks or pipelines may transport the upgraded bitumen directly from the mining sites to awaiting refineries.
