Equivital's Cutting-Edge Mobile Health Monitoring Technologies At Mobile World Congress, Spain
Online, February 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Mobile human monitoring technology developed in Cambridge by experts from Hidalgo will be displayed at Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, Spain, from 27 February to 1 March.
Hidalgo creates and deploys mobile human monitoring products and solutions with its growing network of partners and customers.
The estimated 60,000 attendees over four days at the Congress will be able to see a live demonstration of Hidalgo's newly launched Equivital EQ02 LifeMonitor - which senses, records, processes and transmits data from the human body. Congress participants will also see Hidalgo's software applications for PC, web and mobile platforms to allow the data to be viewed, analysed and acted upon in real time. There are also development kits to cater for the growing partner developer community.
Hidalgo will also be demonstrating Equivital partner Heart ID technology developed to enable continuous or point in time mobile biometric identification security. The technology uses the physiological signals produced by the body to verify the identity of an individual.
In addition, Hidalgo's Clinical Director, Dr Ekta Sood will address a UK Trade and Investment sponsored seminar during the conference on 28 February, on the subject of 21st century health and care services.
Mobile human health monitoring technologies offer a significant advance in fostering proactive wellness. They allow for healthcare to be personalised and also offer the ability to extend care from the hospital into the community. Hidalgo's customers already include NHS hospitals, international research organisations and individuals including athletes.
Hidalgo has a strong track record in developing technologies for mobile measurement of human physiology and actively working with its partners to derive actionable information. This makes Hidalgo well placed to bring products to the market which will achieve a vision of empowering people to engage with and use valuable information about themselves.
