Spine Specialist Jared F. Brandoff, M.D. Joins the White Plains Hospital Family
Online, March 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - White Plains Hospital has welcomed Spinal Surgeon Jared F. Brandoff, M.D. of Nassau County, NY, to its group of integrated physician practices as of March 19th. Dr. Brandoff has joined White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, a recently formed division of the hospital aligning physicians with Hospital services.
Dr. Brandoff received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, a Master's degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and a Medical Doctorate from New York Medical College, where he graduated in the top tier of his class in 2002. He continued his training in General and Orthopaedic Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY and then completed one of the most prestigious spine surgery fellowship programs in New York City at the Spine Institute of New York at Beth Israel Medical Center. There he developed specialties in numerous advanced techniques of spinal surgery and reconstruction, including adult and pediatric scoliosis deformity, complicated degenerative techniques and revision spinal surgery.
From 2008 through 2012, Dr. Brandoff honed his professional skills as an Attending Spine Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Cohen's Children's Hospital. He also served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hofstra North Shore- LIJ School of Medicine.
Dr. Brandoff is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and has been inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. His practice includes specialized surgical and non-surgical care of patients with problems localized to the cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar spine. His operative skills include open surgical techniques as well as micro-surgery, minimally invasive surgery and complex adult and pediatric spinal reconstruction.
Dr. Brandoff has published numerous articles in several peer-reviewed orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine journals. His research has been presented at multiple national and international academic meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the International Meeting for Advanced Spinal Techniques.
