Ethisphere Announces WilmerHale as Supporting Partner to the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance
WilmerHale will help support the BELA community via sharing thought leadership and insights into critical ethics and compliance issues facing multinational companies today.
New York, NY , July 10, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Ethisphere Institute today announced that WilmerHale will become a Supporting Partner of the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (“BELA”), a membership community of multinational companies focused on sharing best practices with one another and developing best-in-class ethics & compliance programs.
As BELA’s first Supporting Partner organization, WilmerHale will engage with, and contribute to, the BELA community, which is comprised of some of the most respected global companies, including Boeing, Walmart, GE, and Microsoft, to share the firm’s insights and experience around global regulatory trends and compliance issues facing these organizations.
"The regulatory landscape around the world continues to evolve rapidly as do best practices in corporate ethics and compliance"
David Ogden, Partner and Chair, Government and Regulatory Litigation Practice, WilmerHale
“We’re excited to include WilmerHale as part of the BELA membership group, and to share the firm’s highly valued insights on international issues with the BELA member companies,” said Stefan Linssen, Chief Content Officer at Ethisphere. “WilmerHale is a widely respected law firm with a vast body of experience and knowledge in this space. It will certainly be a great asset to the BELA community.”
WilmerHale previously participated in BELA programs when David Ogden, a partner and chair of the firm’s government and regulatory litigation practice, delivered a presentation in 2015 on the False Claims Act to an annual gathering in New York of compliance officers and general counsel from BELA member companies. Ogden is a former Deputy Attorney General, the second highest post in the U.S. Department of Justice.
“The regulatory landscape around the world continues to evolve rapidly as do best practices in corporate ethics and compliance," Ogden said. “BELA provides a vital forum for business leaders across industries to stay abreast of those changes while sharing their own companies’ approaches and experience. I look forward to being part of such an important endeavor.” Besides WilmerHale’s addition as a BELA Supporting Partner, Elbit Systems, Salesforce.com, Ingram Micro and Crawford & Co., also recently joined the community.
