Ethisphere Launches Service to Measure the Maturity of Ethics and Compliance Programs

New 'Ethics and Compliance Program Maturity Index' Enables Companies to Benchmark Key Components of an Ethics and Compliance Program Against the Practices of Leading Companies Around the World

The Ethisphere Institute

The Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing standards of ethical business practices, announced today a new service to enable companies to identify strengths, gaps and the maturity of key program elements, benchmarked against an unparalleled dataset of the practices of leading companies around the world, and receive not only immediate feedback but also expert-curated resources to help companies improve their programs.

Built with the goal of sharing leading practices across companies—the service is the first time Ethisphere has offered this kind of open access to its rich dataset, providing companies with an efficient way to measure programs across an enterprise. Further, the Ethics and Compliance Program Maturity Index leverages years of expert content, research and editorial expertise from Ethisphere, aligned to progress program gaps and guide improvement.

The Ethics and Compliance Program Maturity Index provides the opportunity for measurement in three critical program areas:

  • Resources, Structure and Oversight;
  • Training and Communications; and
  • Monitoring and Auditing and Risk Assessment

“This new Program Maturity Index allows companies to efficiently benchmark key program practices against those of leading companies, using specific elements to identify program maturity. This approach provides companies with insights that have impact and can be tracked over time,” said Erica Salmon Byrne, Executive Vice President, Ethisphere.

“The index sizes up the state of a company’s ethics and compliance program. It provides compliance professionals with relevant curated recommendations for program improvements, supplements recommendations with research and real-world examples to illustrate what change looks like, and leverages technology to deliver insights immediately,” said Douglas Allen, Managing Director, Ethisphere.

Companies can learn more about the new Ethics and Compliance Program Maturity Index in a July 18 webinar that covers best practices for benchmarking ethics and compliance programs across an enterprise.  To register, visit https://events.ethisphere.com/events/benchmarking-ethics-and-compliance-programs-across-an-enterprise/.
