ETL's PIS to Revolutionize Indian Public Transport

Online, October 9, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Empezar Telematics Laboratories (P) Ltd has introduced its state-of-the-art GPS based Passenger Information System Series- EmpTrack, from Jaipur and has plans to take this to the rest of India. The system for buses and railways have unique custom features and have been branded as 'BusView' & 'RailView' respectively.

The system when installed in the buses of public transport, will help passengers to know the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of any bus at any stop. The information will be available on internet and can also be inquired through SMS. LED boards installed at several bus stops in the city will also be displaying real-time update on buses scheduled to arrive on that bus stop. Inside a bus, Audio-Visual announcement system will further help the passengers to know (see & hear) in advance that their bus stop is arriving, which is especially useful for people with visual/hearing disability. The system will further insure full-proof security and is capable of reporting in real-time to the concerned authorities (Police, Hospital) in case of emergency.
