Europe's Largest Carpooling Database Is Now On Facebook
Rideshare.co.uk has launched its Facebook App, now allowing users to connect all their lift sharing activities with their friends through Facebook, while continuing to decrease their travel costs, and help save the environment.
Online, November 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The new application enables users to see the lifts their friends are offering and requesting, as well as search through Europe's largest carpooling database, all from Facebook. Other features include seeing the latest offers and requests from Facebook users, and being able to add lift offers or requests. Users can also suggest the application to their friends, to expand their lift sharing network, and make it easier to plan journeys together.
The application is easy to use and navigate around. To use many of the features doesn't require a rideshare.co.uk account, or even require giving the application any Facebook permissions. However if users want to offer or request a lift, they need to install the app and sign in with a rideshare.co.uk account. If they don't already have an account, they can sign up for a free account straight on the application, making it quick and easy to use the full lift sharing experience.
Not only does lift sharing save people money, reduce traffic and decrease the need for parking spaces, it is also good for the environment, as travelling together reduces carbon emissions.
