Eventful India's Photography Awards 2011

A rarer exposure for rarer photographs capturing the images of varied & myriad celebrations in India

India is the only destination in the world which thrives on festive events whether ethnic or religious, national or international, cultural or social. Indian-ness creates unique mysterious experiences hosting an event/celebration almost every day of the year whether it is the biggest boat race in Kerala, the world largest congregation of holy men & devotees at Prayag, the longest lasting festivities of Punjab, mesmerizing award shows of Indian Cinema and the 'Great Indian Wedding' et al with countless backdrops for a perfect event including Jaipur Fort on a winter afternoon, the Taj Mahal by moonlight, the serene Beaches of Goa, and lush green mountains of Sikkim, amongst many more.

To imbibe the spirit & mystique of Bhartiya culture & spread it amongst international masses and classes, Propaganda Media & Entertainment, has initiated a campaign 'Eventful India' to promote 'Destination India' on global 'Event Tourism' map. 'Eventful India', will promote cultural and commercial 'event-based-tourism' to both domestic and international travelers. Its focus will amplify smaller unheard-unseen destinations and festivities of India to create an unforgettable experience for the tourists. The campaign shall promote 'Agra' as a destination during 'Taj Mahautsav' and Kerala during 'Onam', with states like Gujarat and Rajasthan focusing on 'event-based-tourism-policies' the results are obvious and observed.
