Everest Launches New Home Improvements Website As British Homes Get Ready For £50 Billion Facelift
Everest Home Improvements is proud to announce the launch of Clearmagazine.co.uk, a new home and lifestyle website offering ideas and innovation for brighter living.
Online, September 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - British homes will benefit from a £50 billion facelift over the next 12 months according to new research1 from Everest, the UK's leading home improvement company. An estimated 18 million homes will spend an average of £2,831 renovating, decorating and insulating their properties over the next 12 months.
On the back of such great appetite for home improvements, Everest has today announced the launch of a new home improvement advice website called 'clearmagazine.co.uk' to complement its glossy home improvement magazine 'CLEAR'.
Produced three times a year, the magazine is distributed for free and is full of ideas, products and expert advice for improving the home. The first issue included recipes, advice on creating an award winning garden and tips on how to style your living room. The accompanying website will provide online access to the full magazine content.
According to Everest's research, the surge in spending on home improvements is being fuelled by a number of factors - most notably people wanting to modernise their property and reduce energy bills. The research found that 53 per cent of people who were planning renovations were doing so to update their property, and 43 per cent of people were planning improvements that will cut the costs of running their home.
An estimated 11.9 million people will be carrying out decorations inside their home over the next 12 months - plastering, painting, laying carpet and to the tune of £1,326 per property. A further 3.3 million people will spend an average £2,274 sprucing up their outside of their home.
Duncan Bland, marketing director at Everest Home Improvements, comments: "In times of economic uncertainty we generally see people focusing on improvements that are more likely to add value to a property, such as a lick of paint, a new kitchen or replacing drafty old windows. The CLEAR website and magazine are great ways for homeowners to gain free access to useful tips and recommendations to make sure their money is spent on home improvements that will add real value."
