Excel Village and Crown Jewels (NC) Links Collaborate to Award Scholarships
CHARLOTTE, N.C., February 18, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Excel Village Center for Learning announced that a one-time scholarship ($1,000-$5,000) will be awarded to encourage African American females to pursue an undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Arts and/or Business (STEM-FAB©). The scholarship will be disbursed in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year.
A collaboration between Excel Village Center for Learning and Crown Jewels (NC) Links organizations, applicants must meet certain criteria to be considered for the Excel Village STEM-FAB© HBCU Scholarship.
The scholarship applications are available on both organizations' websites until March 15, 2020. The selected scholar(s) will also be awarded a $200 scholarship to attend the Annual Excel Village STEM-FAB© Girl’s Power Summit sponsored by Ally Financial and Macy’s. The Summit will be held on April 25 at the UNC Charlotte Uptown Campus. Fifty (50) Carolina girls in grades 5-12 will attend the Excel Village Girls STEM-FAB© Power Summit, including the recipient of Excel Village STEM-FAB© HBCU Scholarship.
