Online, December 13, 2009 (Newswire.com) - The first step of the recruiting process is to get a prospects attention, to pique their interest. Before you do anything else you must get your prospects attention. They must stop, listen, and think. Often the best way to do that is to hit them with a problem that your business will solve.
If you're leading with the business, and you've heard your prospect complaining about their financial situation, a good approach might be to say something like "If you knew it was possible to earn $30,000 per month working part time from your home, would that be something you'd be interested in learning more?"
Many variations of this theme are possible - "Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck?", "Are you tired of living at work and working to live?", "Does the economy got you down"... you get the idea.
The fastest (and most aggressive) way to expose people is using the internet, but there are many, many rejection free methods, all of which have in common a good headline (or opening phrase) that forces the prospect to stop, listen and think. Master network marketer Mark Yarnell has an excellent book on the subject, and is well worth the investment.
Other great resources for rejection free exposure are those featured on my blog http://www.AnnaRoffey.info, and the Perfect Internet System here: http://www.AnnaRoffey.net, both of which narrow the target market down to existing MLM distributors. There's a good reason for that, but beyond the scope of this post. See the information above to learn more.
It's critical that at this point you don't personally give a 30 minute dissertation regarding your opportunity. The only purpose of this step is to get them interested, and move them on to the next step which is where we'll let our tools give them a full presentation.
Also important in the entire recruiting process is to keep it simple, don't over complicate the process. Remember the prospect is evaluating whether they think they can do it. If you can manage to convey the message that hey, if I can do this, so can you, you're well on your way to being a master MLM recruiter.
