Eyetique Holds Sale Event to Benefit Gilda's Club

In April, 2011, Eyetique will be holding their annual Norman Childs frame event to benefit Gilda's Club. Nine of the most popular frames from the Norman Childs collection will be available for just $95.00 and $10 will be donated for each sale.

For the entire month of April, eyetique will be holding it's annual Norman Childs frame event to benefit Gilda's Club, a non-profit cancer support community. Founder and designer Norman Childs chose 9 of his most popular frames and will offer them at a huge price reduction during the event. Normally retailing at $325.00 and up, the selected frames will be available for just $95.00.

For every frame sold from the special event collection, eyetique will donate $10 to Gilda's Club. Last year the event raised nearly $5000 and this year hopes to be even better.

"We care deeply about this cause and helping people live with cancer," said Childs. Gilda's Club is a network of affiliate clubhouses that provide an emotional and social support community for people living with cancer as well as their friends and families, as an essential complement to medical care.

Development and Outreach Coordinator of Gilda's Club, Carly Reed, notes "As everything that we do at Gilda's Club is free, it is only through the support of individuals and organizations such as Norman Childs and eyetique that we are able to raise our operating budget each year and provide our services to the community."

The selected frames will be available at any of the seven eyetique locations in Pittsburgh as well as online and orders must be placed between April 1 and April 30, 2011.

Founded by Norman Childs, eyetique first opened in 1979 in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh and has grown to 7 stores located throughout the greater Pittsburgh region including Shadyside, Wexford, South Hills Village, Wilkins Twp., Southside Works, Squirrel Hill, and the Mall at Robinson. Norman Childs has been designing his own line of glasses since 1998, which has become the best-selling line at eyetique. They have built their reputation on providing exceptional service along with high-fashion, high-quality products. More information can be found at www.eyetique.com.
