Fajoya, Is Using Technology to Make Personal Connections More Meaningful. Live Now on Google Play Store.
Online, November 18, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The idea was born when we noticed that when you need help in the real world, you turn to your friends first, as they are more likely to support you. However, when you're online this simple act seems to be difficult.
Matthew Jones, cofounder and Lead Designer says: "We wanted to create a network where it is acceptable to ask for friends help, after all we all need it from time to time"
Fajoya is self-funded and based in Finland and Israel. The team has been developing the app for over a year. Since launch last month, babysitter referrals, plumber recommendations and job seeking are among the most popular request. In fact, The company used the app to recruit their own Chief Marketing Officer!
Yakir Falik, CEO, explains: "Of course we would like to succeed as a company, but the real win for us has been helping spread goodwill. We are currently focused on delivering a great service… monetization will only come at a later stage".
How Fajoya works:
First, the app uses the Facebook platform to get members started and connect to their current network.
Get help from friends is now easier…
With Fajoya, users take control over the exposure of their requests, from sending it to their most trusted friends to publishing on all major social networks. If a member has a particular group or a specific friend in mind, he/she can send a private request via SMS, IM or email.
Manage your requests at a glance…
From the profile tab users are able to get a quick view of all their open and resolved requests, and can easily monitor their progress. When the request is solved, users can close the request and thank the friend who helped them.
Helping friends is easier,
In one simple view users can see an updated list of what their friends need. It's called the "request Feed" and it's the core of the Fajoya experience. From the feed users can easily help friends by commenting and sharing their request with their own networks.
Fajoya is available for free on Google Play Store.
