FanFaire Foundation Presents "Sunday Afternoon With The Rossetti Piano Trio"
FanFaire Foundation is proud to present the Rossetti Piano Trio in a concert of chamber music as never presented before - a music appreciation event to be held at the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, CA on Sunday May 16, 2010 at 2:30 pm.
Online, April 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - FanFaire Foundation, a non-profit organization, is proud to present the Rossetti Piano Trio - three musicians of international stature - in a performance of seldom heard but beautiful piano trios by composers of the late Romantic period Max Bruch, Philipp Scharwenka, Richard Strauss, and Jean Sibelius.
This chamber music concert, to be held at the acoustically superb Neurosciences Institute (NSI) Auditorium in La Jolla (San Diego, CA) on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:30pm, promises to be a special music appreciation event in which each piece will be introduced with an informative and delightful commentary by American violist and trio member Thomas Diener who is an eloquent advocate for music education. The other members of the trio are French violinist Henry Gronnier and Israeli pianist Rina Dokshitsky, both of whom are beloved music educators who currently teach at the Colburn School for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
Thomas Diener plays a 1580 viola made in Bologna, Italy by Antonio Brensius; Henry Gronnier plays a 1745 violin made in Piacenza, Italy by G.B. Guadagnini; and Rina Dokshitsky is acclaimed for playing the piano "with ultimate naturalness and considerable charm." The artists have performed as soloists or ensemble members in such prestigious venues as Carnegie's Weill and Zankel Halls in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Concertgebeouw's Klein Zaal in Amsterdam and in international festivals such as Lincoln Center's "Mainly Mozart" in New York, Spoleto both in Italy and the US among many others. They have also collaborated with such widely recognized classical artists as Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Joshua Bell, Carter Brey, Steven Isserlis, and Eugenia Zukerman, to name a few.
