Sacramento, CA - 04 May 2010

Fargen Amplification announced today the launch of its new website, www.fargenamps.com , featuring its three main product lines: production tube amplifiers, custom made tube amplifiers and amplifier modifications.

The Fargen production line is now comprised of four models, the Blackbird, Mini Plex MKII, Olde 800 MKII and AC Duotone. "In order to keep up with demand, we needed to streamline the production of our most popular amplifier models. These four products now feature a consistent-sized head and cabinet while maintaining the traditional Fargen circuitry, design and tone that our customers know and love" says Ben Fargen, founder and CEO. This also allows Ben to focus more time on his Custom Shop amps, which are generally built to order and are made of custom components, more exotic cabinet materials and advanced craftsmanship. Fargen Amps will continue to offer its Hot Mods amplifier modifications; extreme tonal modifications for those customers that are looking to push the limits of their existing equipment.

Fargen is kicking-off the new website with its "Me and My Fargen" contest. "Over the past twelve years, we have served our top-class group of customers that are most discerning in terms of their tone, and the quality of their gear. We are inviting our customers to submit photos including their amps, which we will post on our website, as well as on our facebook fan page and Twitter feed" says Fargen. Three winning entries selected at random will each receive a Sonic Edge J&J Overdrive pedal.

The contest will run through June 15, 2010 and the winners will be announced at the Summer NAMM show.

Ben founded Fargen Amplification in 1998, which has become a thriving boutique company that ships custom-built amplifiers to discerning players on four continents. Ben has developed a reputation as one of the top engineers and visionaries in the amplifier space. He also provides world tour and studio amp support to many of the world's most celebrated guitarists including Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, and in fact, designed Steve's Legacy II amplifier that was launched by Carvin in January 2009. Sonic Edge is the company that Fargen founded to design and build premium guitar effects and pedals.
