FARMWAVE Selected for AgriNEST Business Accelerator
Promoting Tech Designed to Reduce Crop Loss and Increase Food Security
ALPHARETTA, Ga., June 12, 2018 (Newswire.com) - FARMWAVE is pleased to announce its selection as a Laureate for the 2018 AgriNEST business accelerator program, where it will be exploring business opportunities in the competitive French agricultural market. FARMWAVE is an app that gives farmers the ability to rapidly identify, diagnose, and treat pests and diseases afflicting their crops. Once a diagnosis is made, farmers can discuss and share this information within their organization, to consulting crop scientists, or with an agricultural agency - all within FARMWAVE's secure environment.
FARMWAVE, along with nine other hand-picked international startups, will travel to Paris and Dijon for a comprehensive deep dive into the French agtech sector starting June 11. Designed to help U.S. companies reach customers in the lucrative French agricultural industry, AgriNEST will bring together distributors, venture capital firms, and potential partners for a series of intensive workshops. Companies selected for the 2018 AgriNEST laureate class were invited by a panel of judges drawn from French agricultural research organizations, agtech companies, coops, and investment firms.
FARMWAVE's technology will not only save French farmers time between identification and treatment of crop diseases, but will also reduce crop loss, leading to higher yields.
