Online, October 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Today, five employees from International IT services provider, FDM Group, will be taking part in The Prince's Trust Himalayan Action Challenge to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK.
Henry Duddy, Simon Jowett, Joey Gartell, Jon Taplin and Sergio Malatesta will each take part in a series of extreme physical and mental challenges in support of the vital work for The Prince's Trust. They will hike, bike and whitewater raft a 320km circular journey throughout the mountainous kingdom of Nepal in seven days, and be inspired by two of the world's ten highest mountains, which form the backdrop for the challenge.
All five employees have reached their target to raise a total of £20,000 for the challenge, made possible with the generous help of ASB Law, BMW, Callaway, Inflexion, Jimmy Chop Chop, KPMG, Milkround, MyHotel (Brighton), The Ramada (Manchester) and St Martin Vintners. FDM fully supports The Prince's Trust and the commitment of its employees towards this tremendous cause.
Joey Gartell, Performance Analyst at FDM taking part in the challenge, comments: 'The reality is that not everyone is as fortunate or privileged with the events in their lives as you or I may have been, so it is important to support such a cause in order to help the people who really deserve it the most'.
