FEBC: Even Greasy Foods Have Their Own Holiday This October
SAN RAMON, Calif., October 25, 2018 (Newswire.com) - There’s a holiday for everything nowadays, and greasy food is no exception. Oct. 25 is National Greasy Food Day, in celebration of county fair season and all those carnival foods that people love. Financial Education Benefits Center (FEBC), a membership benefits service, recommends eating healthy and taking care of a body to achieve personal wellness but says that enjoying a favorite food from time to time, even if it isn’t the healthiest, isn’t a bad thing.
“It’s important to take personal health and wellness seriously, but cutting out all things that aren’t healthy takes the fun out of life,” said Jennifer Martinez, manager at FEBC. Take away the fun and what’s the point of making sure we're healthy and able to live a long life?

Greasy foods are among the top food people critique as being unhealthy and that need to be eliminated from someone’s diet in order to be healthy. Greasy foods have a high fat and cholesterol content and don’t typically offer much else in nutritional value. But they’re so tasty, and the occasional treat won’t hurt.
Excess consumption of anything is bad and certainly won’t make someone’s next doctor visit more pleasant. FEBC offers relevant, everyday discounts such as select discounts on groceries and fitness benefits, along with access to a 24-hour nurse hotline for non-emergency situations to help members with personal wellness that may also help them feel less guilty about enjoying a tasty snack. Whatever the preferred greasy snack, enjoy it this Oct. 25. “From our family to yours, have a great holiday season,” said Martinez.
