Feed the Needy with a Song

Musicians are to perform in numerous concert series and prove that you can feed the needy with a song and help those in need.

Michigan. Spring 2011, Professional Musicians from around metropolitan Detroit and throughout the U.S. are proving that you can "Feed the Needy with a Song"; by performing live benefit concerts to help those in need. Hosted by The Detroit Metropolitan Association of the United Church of Christ in Detroit, Mi., musicians are to perform in numerous concert Series during the months of June, July and August and September the 2nd Saturday of each month from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. net proceeds to raise money and awareness to aid Ministries of the 30 church DMA network including homeless ministries, Green Church Ministries, Returning Citizen Ministries and others.

Promoted as a Benefit Concerts and Dinners the series has featured some of Detroit's most talented vocalists, like Michael Krieger, and Adrienne Webster, and instrumentalists such as EJ Joier, New Age Artist of light and Love Tony Paris, guitarist and many others. These performers are brilliant stars in their own right with distinctive styles that will inspire and impress the most discriminating critics as well as dazzle the most dedicated music fans. All will perform a medley of their most endearing musical favorites.

"Feed the Needy with a Song" performs benefit concerts and other artistic presentations such as poetry, dance and theater throughout the year, offering artists the opportunity to outreach organizations raise money and awareness for their causes. Over the past years, local artists such as Dr. Norah Duncan (organist) and Jillian Joier (dancer), Tony Paris (singer/guitarist) and Dr. Quincy Dobbs (Organist) have volunteered their talents to help homeless shelters, food banks, soup kitchens and other community outreach projects.
