Festivals of Speed Announces New Event to Benefit Florida Hospital Waterman

Online, January 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Festivals of Speed is expanding in 2011 to include a Motorsports Gathering & Luxury Lifestyle Display at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills. This inaugural showing, set for March 5th and 6th, will benefit Florida Hospital Waterman.

Festivals of Speed events have successful annual operations in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Four Diamond Renaissance Vinoy Hotel & Resort, in Orlando at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, and at the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami. Bringing together this ever changing display of the world's most exotic vintage and contemporary automobiles, motorcycles, aircraft and watercraft at the award-winning Mission Inn Resort & Club is the first of many expansions Festivals of Speed has planned for 2011.

This unique new event weekend will feature luxury receptions, a golf classic, driving tour, and automotive gathering. Attendees will have a rare opportunity to appreciate automotive masterpieces of design and engineering in a setting that if both festive and elegant.

Prior to the main event, on Saturday, March 5th the spectacular rolling countryside surrounding this Northwest Orlando resort will play host to the Festivals of Speed Inaugural Driving Tour. Drivers will gather at the Mission Inn Resort & Club to embark on an exciting journey throughout the winding roads and beautiful landscape of this scenic region. The pre-planned route will include stops along the way to enjoy lunch and to visit with exciting venues.

On Sunday, March 6th these prized vehicles will be set for display on the plush fairway of the Mission Inn Resort & Club's Championship Golf Course that has been revered as one of Florida's finest. Guests and participants will enjoy exclusive culinary offerings, fine wines, smooth jazz, fashion, 'VIP' cafes, awards presentations, and much more.
