The program believes that there are five keys to success: commitment, passion, access to learning and new skills, accessibility of instructions and dynamic lesson plans to keep students interested. These are all part of “Finding the Next Great Writer” mission. It is the program’s goal to support each student with the necessary skills and learning to pursue a career in writing or to start a writing hobby.
“Finding the Next Great Writer” will also become a platform for exposure through their Next Great Writer Awards contest. Students will have the option to submit their work online; entry into the contest is free for all participants. Winners will receive recognition and cash prizes.
“Finding the Next Great Writer” is due to launch in just a few months’ time and is asking visitors and interested individuals to donate as little as $1 to help support students that will enroll in their program.
A few quotes from “Finding the Next Great Writer” team: “America is failing in literacy. Our reading and writing levels are below average and decreasing each year… We're out to change that fallacious idea one “Next Great Writer” at a time!”
Everyone is invited to join and spread the word about “Finding the Next Great Writer” program. “You can contribute your popularity by telling your friends and family about this campaign. The success of this campaign is directly correlated with the number of people who view this page. If you can increase that number, you are making a tangible contribution to the mission.”
Finally, the program encourages parents, educators and caregivers to support the program. “Next Great Writer is a rare opportunity for children between the ages of 13 and 18 years old to write a book about something that they are passionate about. Next Great Writer is a nonprofit organization (501c3) that provides kids with the necessary tools, skills, and guidance to successfully write their 1st book.”

###
Next Great Writer is a nonprofit literacy program that aims to help its students excel as young writers and prepare them to be great writers tomorrow by combining an exclusive detailed writing curriculum tailored specifically for the 13 to 18 years old aged group. There is no competition in the marketplace that offers a national online novel writing course for the program’s aged group. Most of the programs for Next Great Writer’s target market centers around sports, arts, music, math, or science. Even with these programs most of them are limited and does not cover the amount of detail that we offer. In our program, if a student follows the curriculum and works the program at the end of the 12 month window they will have a completed book to enter into writing contests, show family and friends, and have a tangible achievement based on their creative efforts.
