FireEye CSO to Discuss 'Building Trusted Vendor Partnerships' at Cyber Security Summit 2018
MINNEAPOLIS, October 19, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Leading cybersecurity company FireEye’s Chief Security Officer Steven Booth will participate on a panel focused on “Building Trusted Vendor Partnerships” on Oct. 24 during the 2018 Cyber Security Summit at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
The panel will discuss how practitioners and solution providers can work better together. Questions addressed will include: What are corporations looking for in a vendor-partner? What are the criteria? What are the impediments?
The panel is moderated by Dave Notch, Strategic Advisor, Enterprise Security & Cloud Architecture, at Medtronic. The other panelists are Steve Roge, Vice President of Sales, Capsule8, and Steve Brown, Chief Security Officer, Xcel Energy.
As the Chief Security Officer, Steven Booth is in charge of leading all aspects of the IT security at FireEye. This includes the ongoing development and execution of enterprise-wide security architecture and monitoring programs, as well as technology risk and compliance. Steven directs the implementation of security controls, standards, policies and procedures to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of information systems and physical property while ensuring that compliance is maintained against both corporate security policies and industry standards.
Prior to joining FireEye, Steven was the AVP of Information Security and CISO at Manulife/John Hancock in Boston, Massachusetts, where he had global responsibility for all IT security in the U.S., Canada and 11 countries in Asia. He previously held the role of Cybersecurity Architect at Microsoft and ran security operations for VeriSign’s MSSP. Steven has a B.S. in Business Management from CSUH and a master’s degree in Digital Security from Golden State University.
