First LA Limo Announces Reduced Rates to Nonprofits

Many nonprofits are finding it hard to cover costs during this tight economy, since donations, a major source of income, have plummeted across the board.

First LA Limo's Bobby Rezapour has announced a new program offering special prices to LA nonprofits.

"This is an exciting step in First LA Limo's commitment to partner with other organizations in LA," says Rezapour during a lunch for limo rental businesses. "We're promoting these special rates because nonprofits have been hard hit by the recession. We want to help them keep fighting."

Many nonprofits are finding it hard to cover costs during this tight economy, since donations, a major source of income, have plummeted across the board. This is extremely critical, since during recessions, demand for nonprofit services increase.

"I got the idea for First LA Limo to offer reduced rates when I read an article on CNN," says Rezapour. "Some nonprofits actually expect that the end of the recession won't be an end of problems for them. When nonprofits are busy cutting services and staff, you can bet they're not lining up to spend money on their organization."

According to Rezapour, not investing in promotion is just as lethal as wasting money for nonprofits. "If you're not busy getting word out about your organization, you can be sure people are busy forgetting about you. So spending money kills your budget, and not spending money prevents future funds from coming in."

First LA Limo's special pricing will provide deep discounts so organizations can afford the transportation needed to attend promotional events. "We'll just be charging them enough to cover costs, basically," says Rezapour.
"First LA Limo's luxury vehicles will actually be cheaper than renting regular vehicles."

Some detractors wonder about Rezapour's decision to lower rates to such a degree. "I've talked with a lot of limo rental owners during this industry lunch," says Rezapour. "Some have said I'm downright mad for cutting prices. After all, all businesses are finding it hard to sustain themselves during these hard times. How will First LA Limo be able to make it?"
Rezapour isn't worried, however. "We saw the recession coming," he says, "We were ready for it when it got here. We've rolled with the punches, and I foresee no ill effects from this new pricing package."

Rezapour points out that LA businesses need to think about their own fiscal health, but they can't forget the bigger picture. "By helping other organizations, we at First LA Limo are promoting LA's economy," he says. "We're all in this together."

"It breaks my heart to see nonprofits having to turn people away," says Rezapour. "First LA Limo wants to be on the front lines helping people fight this recession
