First LA Limo in Los Angeles Lowers Prices by Going Green

Gas prices are the first factor that come to mind, but switching to electric limousines will have numerous benefits that, in the long run, we will pass on to our customers."

First LA Limo in Los Angeles is pleased to announce plans to switch up to half of its fleet to a completely electric vehicle. The company aims to complete its changeover as early as 2018.

The announcement comes after First LA Limo held its yearly board meeting in Los Angeles. Key issues included innovating limo businesses during a tight economy.

"We realized that a great way to help us control costs was to take advantage of the new electric vehicles that are becoming a reality today," says Bobby Rezapour , founder of First LA Limo in Los Angeles. "Headlines have been buzzing about the Chevy Volt, the Telsa Roadster, the Nissan Leaf, the Coda Sedan, and other all-electric vehicles. Since we regularly acquire new vehicles to ensure our fleet is in top shape, it makes perfect sense to start purchasing electric vehicles. Not only does it make business sense, but we confidently expect that it will grab some headlines for us."

Gasoline prices are not the only reason First LA Limo in Los Angeles wants to ride the green wave of electric vehicles, Bobby Rezapour points out. "Gas prices are the first factor that come to mind, but switching to electric limousines will have numerous benefits that, in the long run, we will pass on to our customers." For instance, electric vehicles require almost no maintenance; plus, with fewer moving parts, they are much less prone to breakdowns. This will lower costs in the car maintenance and administration. First LA Limo in Los Angeles will be able to pass those savings along to its clients.

According to Bobby Rezapour, First LA Limo in Los Angeles is in discussion with several car makers to decide which one will manufacture its limousines. "We have not come to any decision yet," says Bobby Rezapour. "We hope to continue working with our old suppliers, but it just depends on their readiness to go electric."

When First LA Limo does go electric, it will be one of the first limousine services to do so in Los Angeles. "Some of our competitors have called me crazy, saying no car manufacturer is ready to make custom-made electric vehicles yet," says Bobby Rezapour. "I just laugh. First LA Limo has always been an innovator in the field, and our suppliers have gotten used to that by now. I don't foresee any problems."

When asked about how First LA Limo in Los Angeles has fared during the economic downturn, Bobby Rezapour was positive. "I won't lie and say things have been easy, but we always take an optimistic view at our board meetings. No matter how bad things get, we look for unique, affordable ways to help our clients meet their needs."Bobby Rezapour says that First LA Limo's decision to revamp its fleet demonstrates this characteristic.

"While some of our competitors are licking their wounds, we are looking forward and finding new ways to become number one in our business," says Bobby Rezapour.
