First LA Limo has announced plans to transport local LA culinary school students to the 28th American Wine and Food Festival in Los Angeles. It will be held September 25th in the Universal Studios backlot.

"This is an exciting event," says Bobby Rezapour, spokesman for First LA Limo. "We wanted to be a part of it. We contacted local culinary schools and offered special deals so their students could attend in style."

First LA Limo is discounting its Night on the Town package to participating students. "It include door-to-door service," says Mr. Rezapour. "We'll be picking each one up at their homes and offering them onboard drinks, which is part of the usual package. Instead of taking advantage of the package's special club arrangement, they'll be off to the food festival." Normal prices for the Night on the Town package start at $75 per person.

To choose which students will attend the event, the schools will hold a cooking contest. "It was actually my idea," says Mr. Rezapour. "And I admit that the only reason I recommended it was because I wanted to be a judge. I look forward to the contest."

According to Mr. Rezapour, First LA Limo's partnership with LA culinary schools demonstrates the company's commitment to helping people in the community. "A lot of these budding chefs don't have much money," says Mr. Rezapour. "However, attending events like the American Wine and Food Festival is important for networking. Who knows? They might meet future employers or grab an internship. Plus, they will learn new ways to look at food and be inspired. By giving them good deals on our limos, we'll help them arrive in style so they look impressive from the start."

There's another reason Mr. Rezapour is pleased to be able to participate in this event. Funds go to Meals On Wheels Programs of
Los Angeles. "It's so important for business to contribute to their communities," says Mr. Rezapour. "By partnering with local cooking schools and by transporting culinary students to this event, we get to help two groups of people at the same time."

When asked about the toughest part of organizing transportation to such an event as this, Mr. Rezapour laughed. "There's no doubt that choosing the chauffeurs is the toughest part. They all want to work this event, even those who normally prefer day shifts. We chose a group of our most experienced chauffeurs because this is a chaotic event. Experience is needed. Then we had to winnow the group down some more by picking names out of a hat."

According to Mr. Rezapour, discounting services doesn't hurt the company's bottom line. "Providing transportation to festivals such as this is one of the best networking tools we have," says Mr. Rezapour. "We get our name out there, and we often meet future clients who see us while we work. It's the best advertising campaign there is. Besides, we get to lend a hand, and that is just part of who we are."
