Hosted by Leslie Mueller, the 10-Part Series Takes Viewers Behind-the-Scenes of the Country's Most Famous Museums

"Museum Access," a new 10-part series that launched its first season in 2018 and aired on Public Television (PBS stations) across the country, is now available on Amazon Prime. The series, produced and hosted by Leslie Mueller and Museum Access Media, LLC, takes viewers behind-the-scenes at some of the country's top museums. Each 30-minute episode offers exciting stories, in-depth conversations with experts, and fascinating footage in areas that museum guests don’t have the opportunity to see.

"We are thrilled that our first season is available on Amazon Prime and that people throughout the world will be able to view 'Museum Access' and 'visit' so many of America's wonderful museums," said host Mueller, a long-time museum lover, whose passion for her work is evident in every episode. "I've always enjoyed visiting museums, but frequently left wondering what goes on behind-the-scenes," she explained. "I created 'Museum Access' to answer that question, dig a little deeper, and provide much more than just a simple guided tour."

Season 1 of "Museum Access" features visits to a WWII German submarine, a training session for Beluga whales, Leonardo Da Vinci’s workshop in Florence, Italy, and the ancient Egyptian Temple of Dendur at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. It also features an episode highlighting the Terra Cotta Warriors from China and a dinosaur fossil laboratory at Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History where Mueller gets up close and personal with Sue, the most intact Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered!

"With each episode, I have the pleasure of speaking with museum experts at the top of their game. We explore the most popular exhibitions and learn about the museums through their eyes," continued Mueller. "I'm invited to see things that the general public typically doesn’t have access to, and I ask the questions that people want to have answered. 'Museum Access' provides these answers in a fun, engaging and entertaining way that all ages can enjoy."

There are more than 35,000 museums in the United States alone, attracting 850 million visitors every year. Twice as many people visit museums than attend all major league sporting events and theme parks combined!

"While it's true that millions of people have the opportunity to visit museums, unfortunately, there are still many others who don't have access," explained Mueller. "'Museum Access' not only brings the museums to them, but our show offers behind-the-scenes details and personal interviews that they wouldn’t experience with a visit. I'm delighted that Amazon liked our show and wants to share it with the world! I hope that it will inspire people to re-visit a museum or go for the first time."

Amazon Prime members can enjoy the first season as part of their membership, while others can download "Museum Access" from Amazon.com for 99¢ per episode or $7.99 for the entire 10-part season.

The filming of "Museum Access" Season 2 has been completed and will air throughout 2019. In Season 2, Mueller explores museums in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Virginia, Connecticut, Illinois, New York and Washington, DC. For more information, visit www.museumaccess.com.
