Online, February 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - FirstLight HomeCare, a provider of professional, non-medical, live-in and hourly care services to seniors and others who need assistance, eagerly welcomes Lauren Johnson to their team as director of franchise development. After 10 years of managing and leading development teams for various companies, Johnson brings her business savvy and professional sales experience to her new position with FirstLight. In her new role, she will be responsible for guiding well-qualified franchise candidates through the award process.
"I am delighted to work with a company that is poised for expansion where I can exemplify my ability to seek out and capitalize sales opportunities," said Johnson. "FirstLight has a sound business model and I'm anxious to collaborate with the corporate team to achieve optimal growth."
A demonstrated leader with the credentials for success, Johnson joined FirstLight after spending almost two years with PuroSystems Inc. as franchise development manager and three years with Navis Logistics Network prior. As vice president of franchise development, she improved the award cycle by more than 32 percent, increased lead flow by 12 percent and created and implemented a proactive resale program to serve owners effectively. Prior to her appointment at Navis, Johnson spent two years with Maui Wowi, where she led development teams, improved sales processes and was eventually promoted to vice president of franchise development. Additionally, Johnson spent four years in business development at Cornerstone Processing Alliance and Singer Asset Finance Company.
"We are excited to have Lauren aboard," said president and CEO Jeff Bevis. "Her proven record for success and experience in the franchising industry will lend itself well to our growing brand."
FirstLight-which launched its franchise program in March 2010-is creating a new standard in non-medical home care by combining the best practices gained by a dynamic senior leadership team with proven industry success and several new, exciting approaches. This makes FirstLight an emerging market leader in a fast-growing industry. Since March, the company has grown to 12 franchisees spanning a total of 19 markets and eight states, including Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Nebraska, Illinois, Alabama and Tennessee. It plans to award an additional 44 markets in each of 2011 and 2012, totaling over 100 franchises awarded and/or developed within three years.
FirstLight is the only franchised non-medical home care provider that rewards accelerated growth with a bonus program and provides complete accounting services for back-office functions at an affordable monthly cost, affording franchisees more time to grow their business.
