Online, March 6, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Techsil are introducing 2 new silicone sealants to the UK aquarium assembly market. Momentive IS803 and IS808 are one-component silicone adhesive sealants made specifically for horizontal, vertical and overhead applications. These products can be applied in thicknesses of up to 6mm (1/4 in.) and cure on exposure to atmospheric moisture; they will only flow with external pressure making them very easy to apply to tricky areas.

IS803 (black) and IS808 (clear) offer excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance whilst providing self adhesion properties to metals, plastics, wood and most importantly glass! Both products have a good tear strength and offer both low temperature flexibility (-55°C) and high temperature performance (205°C).

IS803 and IS808 are highly recommended for use in aquarium sealing thanks to their excellent waterproof seal and ease of application. Both are of a paste-like consistency and are free from fungicide and solvents. IS803 and IS808 meet various specifications, including FDA; USDA; NSF and UL. Once fully cured, IS803 and IS808 are 100% fish safe and do not leech any substances into the water.
