Five Guys Burgers and Fries Makes South Orange County Debut at Laguna Niguel's Ocean Ranch Village

Popular Fast food chain Five Guys opens new location in Laguna Niguel

The rapidly expanding hamburger chain Five Guys Burgers and Fries, whose cult-like following has invited comparisons to iconic Southern California mainstay In-N-Out, has opened its first location in South Orange County.
For its May 23, 2011 debut in one of Orange County's most affluent areas, Five Guys selected Ocean Ranch Village in Laguna Niguel - a premier community shopping center with more than 146,669 square feet of prime retail, dining and entertainment options.

"We are thrilled to be home to the first Five Guys restaurant within miles," said Colm Macken, CEO of Shea Properties, owner and developer of Ocean Ranch Village. "Five Guys will enhance Ocean Ranch Village's reputation as a destination center serving not only local residents, but those visiting the beach cities of South Orange County."

Ocean Ranch Village, on Street of the Golden Lantern, is anchored by Trader Joe's, a Cinema, Pier 1 Imports, Bed Bath & Beyond, Aaron Brothers, 24 Hour Fitness, Savannah Chophouse and Fred's Mexican Cafe. The center is linked by a traffic signal to sister community shopping center Ocean Ranch Village Dana Point.

Winning over customers since 1986, Five Guys has been Zagat survey-rated every year since 2001. The quick-casual food chain consistently gets high marks for fresh food, clean restaurants and zippy, friendly service.

The Laguna Niguel Five Guys joins locations in Huntington Beach, Tustin, Fullerton and Orange, with other Five Guys restaurants set to open soon to Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. The Virginia-based chain debuted last year in Orange County.
