Five Reasons to Fall for Cabo Sportfishing
www.redrumcabo.com will explore the five reasons to head south of the border, to Cabo San Lucas, for a "fall break." We'll show you that an affordable vacation, to an exotic locale, doesn't have to wait!
Online, October 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - 1. Hotel Deals and Airline Steals: Autumn is the "slow" season in Cabo San Lucas. While the fishing is red hot, most kids have gone back to school and families are at home. In terms of value this is when you'll get a great bang for your buck. Five-star, oceanfront resorts are literally giving away suites at rates less than $100 a night. Most airlines have flights for less than $350 roundtrip from most major US cities. Plus it's a breeze to get here, with 2-3 hour flights from most cities in the west and mid-west.
2. Safety: Cabo San Lucas is located 1,000 miles south of San Diego, at the very tip of the Baja California Peninsula. With all the news about what a crazy place Mexico is right now, you'll be happy to hear that Cabo San Lucas is about as dangerous as Palm Springs, California. Most media outlets fail to explain where the violence in Mexico is taking place. Would you still visit Disney World in Florida or the Grand Canyon in Arizona, if crime was on the rise in New York City? Luckily, you don't have to, you can come to Cabo, we have much better fishing to offer than any of those places I mentioned.
3. Weather: While most of the US and Canada is getting ready for cold weather, your fun-in-the-sun doesn't have to an end just yet. The end of summer is the start of the best weather of the year in Cabo San Lucas. Imagine days in the 80s and nights in the 70s-perfect fall weather in Cabo. When you are not reeling in 500 lb marlin, you can cruise around the bay on jet-ski or kayak out to the famous Arch. The warm waters of Cabo linger in the 80s through December. And it's these warm waters that attract sea life, including huge schools of Marlin, Tuna and Dorado.
4. Nightlife and Attractions: Let's face it, everyone likes to vacation where they can get out and about, see and do. Cabo offers the amenities once you get off the boat that many destinations don't. After a quick afternoon siesta on the beach or at the pool, an 8 p.m. dinner is not unusual for tourists or locals. Virtually any restaurant in town will cook your fresh catch in any number of different ways. The bars and nightclubs around the massive marina don't get hopping until 10 p.m. or so and it's always "ladies night" (ie. free drinks) somewhere.
5. Activities- When was the last time you tried something different? When was the last time you changed the routine, the boring, mundane routine? How about something fresh and exhilarating? An adventure to knock off the proverbial "bucket list?" Come spend a day or two sport fishing with RedRum, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Come experience something you may have never even thought of doing, but that will stay with you the rest of your life. Watching the sun rise over the Sea of Cortez and into the Pacific, while the ocean and it's wildlife wake-up around you will certainly get the day started for you much better than your morning cup of Joe.
Cabo Sportfishing is what built this town: From the little fishing village at the end of the Baja Peninsula with the dirt roads, to the moving and shaking, hip, energetic city that has more amenities than most imagine. And, while it is amazing to see 4th and 5th generation fisherman ply their trade, Cabo has plenty more to offer. From culinary delights and flashing lights, the evenings can be almost as adventurous, or at times more so, than what happened during the day on the water.
Redrum Sportfishing has been running daily sport fishing charters in Cabo San Lucas for over 10 years, but our local captains and mates have the experience of many generations in their blood.
